Cerro Chato is a quiescent volcano that surrounds the southeast side of the Arenal Volcano. Cerro Chato has been inactive for over 3500 years and reaches an elevation of 3740 feet. An experienced guide will provide you with all the information you have been waiting for. As you hike try to take in both the flora and fauna of your extraordinary surroundings. This is a trek that should not be by-passed when visiting Arenal.
This hike if for passionate hikers, its a physically challenging hike, where you sometimes have to climp up some rocks. It is a requirement to be in a good physical shape.
